I am delighted to welcome you to our website and encourage you to spend some time exploring the various pages and information available here.
We are extremely proud of the children and adults that form part of our aspirational and inclusive school community. Our high expectations enable children to make exceptional progress, regardless of their starting point or individual needs. Wellbeing and happiness are given high priority here at St Peter’s, both for children and adults alike! Our aim is to prepare every child so that they can make a positive contribution to the society in which they live and that they can function in the fast-changing world in which they find themselves.
The school is set in extensive grounds which allows for a range of PE and outdoor learning opportunities, including our own Forest School area. In addition to a rich and ambitious curriculum, we offer a range of extracurricular activities and learning opportunities throughout the school day. Our Ofsted report (March 2023) found that ‘children develop mature, positive attitudes to learning and achieve well’ and that our children ‘value learning in their calm and focused lessons'.
In keeping with the ‘community feel’ of our school, we have an exceptionally talented and supportive Governing Body as well as a highly active, successful PTA – Friends of St Peter's (FOSP). Parent and community relationships are pivotal in the success of any school and we are keen to work with parents and the local community for the benefit of all.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed – please contact the school office for further information.
